The Muscle Lab Laser samples changes in speed and distance with amazing precision. A key difference between timing gates and the continuous laser measurement is that each fraction of a second and distance and timing gates are averages between segments. Perfect for all sports and can synchronize with both the wearable IMU sensors or Contact Grid, the MuscleLab laser to measure quasi-stiffness, stride rate, stride frequency, and time/distance to peak velocity. Change of direction tests that are linear such as the 5-10-5 or similar can be measured as well. In addition to sprinting, walking gait, wheelchair sports, cross country skiing, and equine sports are possible candidates. Research grade but coaching friendly, the laser is for anyone wanting real-time data at their fingertips.
- Can be used wireless or wired for convenience
- Continuous measure distance and speed
- Typical range 3-60 meters with poor reflective properties of the measured object, or 300+ meters if wearing a reflective garment
- 2.56kHz internal sample rate, 20Hz output
