What makes the 1080 Sprint 2 different from a timing system?
A timing system measures the result of a sprint. The 1080 Sprint 2 can apply controlled resistance or assistance during the sprint while also measuring the athlete’s output.

Why is overspeed training important?
Overspeed training can expose athletes to sprint velocities they may not reach on their own. The 1080 Sprint 2 lets coaches control the assistance so athletes can experience higher-speed sprinting in a measurable setting.

What does the 1080 Sprint 2 help athletes improve?
It can be used for resisted acceleration, assisted sprinting, overspeed exposure, max velocity work, change of direction, deceleration, and selected strength or rehab movements.

What data does it show?
The built-in screen displays total time, distance, and speed for resisted and assisted sprints. The system also measures real-time speed, force, time, distance, and power.

Can athlete data be stored?
Yes. The Control App allows coaches to save training data, track progress over time, use group training, and access data through the 1080 Web App.

How quickly does it start up?
The brochure lists a startup time of less than 10 seconds.

What is the standard line length?
The standard line length is 120 m / 131 yd. The brochure lists available ranges from 75-180 m / 82-196 yd.

Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. The brochure describes the 1080 Sprint 2 as portable, battery-powered, dust and weather protected, with a touchscreen designed for outdoor visibility.

What is the battery?
The 1080 Sprint 2 uses a removable rechargeable 99 Wh LFP battery. The product page lists approximately 6 hours of battery life.

What maintenance is required?
Routine maintenance is performed by the customer and may include cleaning the machine, replacing pull cables, and lubricating the machine.

Ideal For: Performance coaches, speed coaches, strength coaches, return-to-play staff, and facilities that need objective sprint training, profiling, and loading.

The 1080 Sprint 2 helps coaches train speed by using controlled overspeed and resisted sprinting in the same portable system. Coaches can assist athletes into higher sprint velocities, overload acceleration with resistance, and use real-time data to adjust the session based on how each athlete responds.

  • Train overspeed with control: assisted sprinting helps expose athletes to faster sprint velocities while the coach controls the load.
  • Improve sprint intent: immediate feedback gives athletes a number to chase and helps them attack each rep with purpose.
  • Build acceleration strength: resisted sprinting overloads force production so coaches can target early acceleration.
  • Individualize speed training: precise load control helps coaches adjust assistance or resistance to the athlete, not the group average.
  • Connect training to outcomes: speed, force, power, time, and distance data show whether the athlete is adapting.
  • Use one system for speed development: train resisted sprints, assisted sprints, overspeed, change of direction, and return-to-play progressions.
